July 25-31, 2025
Mangel Halto, Aruba
Facilitators: Dr. Kamilah Majied, Amana Brembry Johnson, and Zenzele Isoke

This retreat, for any by Black women, will encompass seven days of rest, play, and co-creation. Join us for daily meditation, poetry workshops, journaling, quiet writing time, and the drafting of original pieces of spiritual writing.

Together we will enter into presence with Mami Wata and be guided into an experience of ancestral witnessing through guided meditation in the warm embrace of the Atlantic Ocean.

There will be time to explore the island, have community dinners nightly, be moved by inspirational music and throw ourselves into playfulness and joyful movement with the sea.

Cost: The sliding scale fee for this unique experience is $1541 - $2650 USD. This fee includes accommodations, meals and ground transportation. Space is limited. $500 deposit due on June 7 to reserve your spot. * The full sponsorship rate of $2650 allows us to make the retreat more accessible by offering a sliding scale option. There will be an opportunity to offer compensation to the facilitators at the end of the retreat.
