In partnership with the Acosta Institute*, the Garrison Institute is thrilled to present the Contemplative Leadership Sanctuary, a unique three-day retreat designed to infuse your approach to leadership with contemplative practices.
At the heart of this retreat is the concept of contemplative leadership, an approach that emphasizes mindfulness, reflection, empathy, patient decision-making, ethical discernment, and personal growth. In today's complex world, leaders are challenged by navigating the pressures of ever-changing contexts and organizational needs. This retreat is designed to provide current and budding leaders across the multiple fields with a space to rest, reflect, fortify and build community with others who are craving for a more thoughtful and restorative way to lead.
Leaning on the experiences of scholar-practitioners like Kamilah Majied, Dr. Sará King, Stephen Shigematsu and Dr. Angel Acosta, this retreat will explore the edge of mindfulness–its promise and limitations in relationship to leadership. In particular, participants will be invited to think about contemplative leadership as it relates to social justice, disruptive technologies, and collective healing.
